A man was reportedly inside when this house on Catoma Lane burst into flames.

Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire on Catoma Lane with a man reportedly inside who may have spread gasoline through the interior.

Efforts have been under way to enter the house to determine if the man survived.

Police were called to the scene after family members reported the unidentified man had barricaded himself inside with an undetermined amount of gasoline. Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said there was a flash and flames shot up in the house.

Law enforcement officials were trying to get the man to leave the house.
