(UPDATE) Police: Cullman trio charged with drug trafficking, 92 grams of synthetic marijuana seized

Two men and a one woman are being held at the Cullman County Detention Center on $1 million bond each for drug trafficking charges.

The three were arrested Monday after a search of an apartment turned up 92 grams of synthetic marijuana along with two juveniles at the residence, Cullman police said.

Scott A. Hagemore, 36; Meghan R. Sansing, 33; and Johnny L. Clifton, 61, all of Cullman, were each charged with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Cullman police Sgt. Chris Thomason, Investigator Justin Craft and Officers Tyler Jackson, Trey Higginbotham and Kelly Hubbard joined Cullman County sheriff’s deputy Sgt. Daniel Cummings in executing a search warrant at the apartment on County Road 715.

Jackson had information of illegal activity at the residence and was able to secure a search warrant, police said. 

Officers recovered approximately 92 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, also known as synthetic marijuana, along with various types of drug paraphernalia.

The Department of Human Resources (DHR) were called and a safety plan was put in place for the children.

Thomason commended Jackson for his hard work and effort along with all officers involved. Thomason said its “a win anytime this amount of drugs can be taken off the street.”
