LOCUST FORK — R.J. Evans tipped in his own miss as time expired to hand Hanceville’s boys a 76-75 win against Locust Fork on Tuesday night.

Brendan Flanigan paced the Bulldogs (12-11) with 32 points, while Fred Ellis (14) and Evans (13 points and 10 rebounds) each had excellent outings for the Purple and Gold.

Coach Daniel Wakefield’s squad overcame 23 turnovers by sinking 21 of 27 attempts from the free-throw line.

Hanceville travels to Good Hope on Friday.

% Fairview 63, Good Hope 52: Bryson Fletcher netted 15 points, Sam Elrod notched 14 and Luke Yarbrough added 11 to help the Aggies punch past the Raiders and improve to 13-15 this season.

Good Hope (12-11) was led by Kallen Sharpton’s 19 points.

The Aggies will travel to West Point on Friday.

% Athens 70, Cullman 62: The Golden Eagles survived the Bearcats to pick up the home win.

Dylan Finch hauled in 27 points and 14 rebounds for Cullman (9-18), while Trey Tucker earned 19 points.

The Black and Gold will travel to Hartselle on Thursday.

Varsity Girls

% Fairview 36, Good Hope 21: The Class 5A No. 10 Lady Aggies overcame a sluggish shooting night to pick up the win.

Taylor Ann Yeager (14 points) and Abbi Taylor (10) combined for 24 points, which was more than enough to handle the Lady Raiders, who were paced by Kate Kent’s 14 points.

Fairview outscored the Red and White 18-2 in the third quarter and forced 22 turnovers.

The Purple and Gold are now 23-6 on the season.

% Addison 57, Hackleburg 47: The 1A No. 8 Lady Bulldogs received solid showings from Maison Evans (14 points and 11 rebounds) and Kaylee Brummett (13 points) to earn their 21st win of the season.

Addison will host St. Bernard on Thursday.

% Locust Fork 64, Hanceville 26: The 3A No. 2 Lady Hornets were simply too much for the Purple and Gold.

Jayden Thompson (eight points) and Karmen Johnson (six) were the top scorers for Hanceville.
