Jordan Moore (eight points), McKinna Yearwood (seven) and Daylia Dean (five) rounded out the scoring for Fairview.

“I’m really proud of how we’re putting in the effort,” coach Mary Hartline said. “It hasn’t been easy getting into a rhythm with the holidays and the weather. But I like how consistent we’ve been since Christmas.”

The Lady Aggies host West Point on Friday and can garner area tournament hosting duties with a triumph. Toss in next week’s big-time county tournament — revenge being a key factor — and it’s safe to say the Purple and Gold are as locked in as possible.

“I think we’ll be focused,” Hartline said. “They’ve made a point of being their own team. We’re conscious of the past, but we know we’re not the same team. We’re playing smarter and with more confidence.”
