PREP HOOPS ROUNDUP: Hanceville stifles Lady Raiders in 44-32 home win

HANCEVILLE — Cassidy Campbell scored 11 points, Desi Hackney and Kierra Merriweather tossed in 10 apiece and the Lady Bulldogs swarmed on Good Hope from start to finish for a 44-32 victory inside Lane Horton Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
Hanceville moved to 6-14 with the triumph and clinched the No. 4 seed in the Cullman County Basketball Tournament later this month.
“We were just happy to get a win and to have some consistency in our offense,” coach Christina Warren said.
The Lady Raiders (6-12) were led by Erika Woodall (eight points) and Kate Kent (six).
The Purple and Gold host Oakman on Friday, while Good Hope welcomes in Cordova.
% Cold Springs 75, St. Bernard 27: The Class 2A No. 4 Lady Eagles improved to 17-1 overall and 3-0 in area play following their decisive home victory.
Emme Willoughby had 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks, while Camryn Crider (17 points, three assists, two steals) and Elizabeth Hill (14 points, six rebounds, five assists, four blocks and four steals) also contributed in the win.
Aubrey Negron scored a season-high 12 points for Cold Springs, which’ll host Winston County on Thursday.
The Blue and Gold used a 28-0 run in the second quarter to pull away.
Jaden Edge led St. Bernard with 19 points.
% Fairview 50, Hayden 18: The Lady Aggies outscored their area foe 28-1 in the second half to ease to a dominant win.
Taylor Ann Yeager paced Fairview (16-6, 4-0 in area) with 14 points, while Abbi Taylor netted 12 points and 10 rebounds.
McKinna Yearwood was next in line with eight points.
The Purple and Gold travel to Curry on Friday for another area tilt.
% Addison 52, Marion County 45: Maison Evans scored a game-high 25 points, Macey Butler pitched in 11 and the Lady Bulldogs improved to 14-2 with a tight win over the Lady Red Raiders.
Addison travels to Meek on Thursday.

% Good Hope 45, Hanceville 37: The Raiders used a pair of nine-point outings from Isaac McDonald and Kallen Sharpton to hold off the Bulldogs for a road win.
Matt Dixon (eight points) and Blake Lyle (seven) also contributed for Good Hope, which improved to 12-6.
Hanceville was led by R.J. Evans and Brendan Flanigan, both of whom netted 13 points.
% Cold Springs 73, St. Bernard 39: Jesse Lee (24 points) and Blake Wood (17) had big nights for the Eagles in their lopsided victory against the Saints.
Cold Springs (9-8 and 3-0 in area play) also received nine points from Hunter McClendon.
Christian Peterson paced St. Bernard with a game-high 27 points.
% Holly Pond 104, J.B. Pennington 55: The 3A No. 2 Broncos crushed the Tigers to stay a perfect 4-0 in area play.
Holly Pond improved to 19-1 following the win.
Mckinley Garrett led the way with 20 points, while Drew Jones (17), Matt Cahoon (17), Bailey Smith (13) and Griffin Morris (10) all recorded double dights.
% Hayden 76, Fairview 58: The Aggies fell to 11-11 on the season with a tough area loss to the Wildcats.
Luke Yarbrough paced Fairview with 14 points, while Caleb White tossed in 10.
