A local man has been arrested on a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine.
David Keith Dotson, 48, was arrested Thursday after agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) executed a search warrant at his Welti residence along County Road 750.
According to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, CNET agents discovered three ounces of meth at the residence. Dotson was charged with a single count of trafficking in methamphetamine.
“I am glad this suspect is now in jail, and out of the community, because of many factors — but mainly because he will not be selling meth so close to an elementary school,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.
“I would also like to thank CNET for the great job they did on this case.”
Dotson is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a mandatory $1,000,000 bond.
