FORT PAYNE — Taylor Ann Yeager scored a game-high 22 points to help Fairview’s girls take down Scottsboro 49-40 at Thursday’s Wills Valley Shootout in Fort Payne.

The Lady Aggies (13-5) outscored their opponent 21-9 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Abbi Taylor (nine points) and McKinna Yearwood (seven) also had strong offensive games.

Fairview will play Helena Friday at 12:30 p.m. to wrap up tournament play.

% Cullman 70, Pinson Valley 38: The Lady Bearcats moved to 6-7 after dismantling their Day 2 opponent at Spain Park’s Lady Jaguars Christmas Tournament.

Olivia Neal scored 14 points, while Sierra Easterwood (13), Anna Evans (10), Anna Bowden (eight) and Victoria Barker (eight) also contributed.

Cullman plays Jacksonville Friday at noon.
