Police arrest Crane Hill man on drug charges

A 64-year-old Crane Hill man is in jail after being charged with selling drugs.

Louie Lauton Farr is being held on a $90,000 bond at the Cullman County Detention Center after the Cullman Police Department reported investigators made three controlled buys of synthetic cannabinoids from him. He is charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

According to a news release from police, the synthetic cannabinoids are typically known on the market as Spice, K2, Fake and Synthetic Weed. Police report the drugs are being seen frequently in the area and labeled them extremely dangerous to use.
