The Cullman Times Cares & Shares food drive will conclude at 5 p.m. today.

Several donations have come in the last few days, but more is needed on this final push to stock the food bank at Cullman Caring for Kids. The food bank supports local families who are experiencing difficult economic conditions.

Cullman Caring for Kids Director Javon Daniel said demand on the food bank sharply increased in recent months from 500 families per month to 650. Food donations or money are welcome. A donation of $100, for example, will provide 700 pounds of food.

Bring donations to The Times at 300 Fourth Avenue SE anytime from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. today.
