Christmas comes to Cullman: Weekend activities around town

Vehicle Christmas show at Depot Park
The annual Ho, Ho, Ho Christmas Show will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12, at Depot Park. Any car, truck or motorcycle is welcome. Entry fee is $20/vehicle or a new toy with a $20 value. Vendor spaces are $20 each. Also, auction will begin at 1 p.m. with items for all ages. Awards for the vehicle show will be given; first 100 to register will receive a dash plaque.
Proceeds from show and auction will be distributed by Christmas Love of Cullman and Cullman Caring For Kids.

Missions Market
Cullman First United Methodist Church, 320 3rd Ave. SE, Cullman, will hold a Gifts Missions Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the church. Events to include crafts, silent auction, bake sale, kids’ market, special music and a Swamp John’s meal. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hearin Hall at the church. The $11/plate is for dine in or carry out. All proceeds will go to the community outreach fund. Tickets may be purchased at the church office.
Turkey shoots
The Hanceville Quarterback Club will host its annual turkey shoot on the following dates: Saturday, Nov. 12, 19, and Thanksgiving Day, from 8 a.m. to noon. The fee for the meat and money shoots will be $5/round. The location is just south of Domino’s on Highway 31 in Hanceville — look for the signs. Proceeds to help support the Hanceville football program.
Holiday bazaar
Mt. Olive Church will hold a holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12, at Simcoe Community Center, 4225 Highway 69 N, Cullman. Breakfast biscuits available, as well as lunch (soup, sandwich, dessert and drink-$6). Baked goods also available, and arts/crafts and white elephant table. All proceeds go to missions fund for the local community.
Holiday bazaar
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 17478 Highway 31, Cullman, will hold a holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11. Baked goods for sale. All proceeds to go to Mt. Zion Women’s Group.
Lunch offered, carryouts available. Free for law enforcement officers, EMTs and firemen.
Holiday fair/expo
The Cullman Elks will hold a holiday craft fair and vendor exposition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Cullman Elks Lodge, 1525 Brantley Ave. NW, Cullman. Door fee is $1/person and gives you a chance at a drawing for a door prize. All proceeds go to the Elks’ local Christmas charities project.
Rummage sale
Christ Lutheran Church’s Women’s group (WELCA) will host a rummage/bake sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12, at 424 2nd Ave. SE, Cullman (fellowship hall). Proceeds to go to local and global outreach ministries.
