PREP SWIMMING: Lady Bearcats sweep second consecutive meet

Cullman’s girls swept their second straight swim meet Thursday at the Aquatic Center, defeating Guntersville and Gadsden.
The Bearcat boys were second behind another fast performance by Colby Hutson, who remained perfect on the season.
Callie Hollingsworth and Reese McNeel led Cullman’s ladies with two wins apiece. The former was first in the 100-yard individual medley and 50-yard breaststroke, as was the latter in the 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard butterly.
Anna Evans (50-yard freestyle), Cabri Adams (50-yard backstroke) and Reagan Martin (200-yard freestyle) also secured victories for the Black and Gold girls.
Hutson fueled his perfect start on the boys side with triumphs in the 50-yard freestyle, 50-yard butterfly and 50-yard breaststroke.
The Lady ‘Cats were first in the 200-yard IM and freestyle relays. The boys were second in both events.
Cullman will return to action Oct. 11 in Madison.
