Police in western Indiana are on the hunt for an elementary school teacher who, after going to bed to sleep off an illness, appears to have vanished.
Tippecanoe County, Indiana sheriff’s deputies are investigating the Monday disappearance of Krista Perdue, 42, who left behind her wallet, purse, car and mobile phone.
Her husband of 16 years, Samuel Perdue, told the Indianapolis Star on Monday that he and his wife had recently returned from a vacation, but that she had been sick on Sunday.
“She was sick all day yesterday, and she stayed in bed all day yesterday,” he said. “I slept in the other room, and I got up this morning, and I kind of piddled around, and I thought I’d go check on her.
“Her purse is here. Her wallet is here. Her driver’s license is here. This is her car sitting where I parked it last night.”
