Fultondale Police and Fire Departments, with assistance from other departments, are currently on the scene of an accident at the intersection of Carson Road and Pine Hill Road.

The accident involved a tanker truck and a passenger car. All occupants of both vehicles escaped unharmed but police ask that drivers avoid the area.

Fultondale High School was not impacted by the accident and officials say there is no danger to the public at this time.

Update: Officials say the cleanup will take until at least 6:30 p.m. and ask that drivers plan an alternate route to avoid the intersection.
