“Blessed to have received my first offer from Kentucky Christian University,” he posted.
Hendrix has shown promise in the Indians’ backfield over the last two years, but an injury-plagued 2015 kept him off the field for most of the season. He plans on changing his jersey from No. 23 to No. 4 in tribute to the number of games he finished last year.
“I am expecting to have a better year this season. God willing, no injuries,” said Hendrix.
On May 14, King made public his first offer from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. The Runnin’ Bulldogs offered King as a running back, where he hopes to replace a talented duo of departing seniors (Tye Dunklin and Dequa Houston) in the Rockets’ backfield next season.
“It has always been a dream of mine to play collegiate football and receiving my first offer just helps me get closer towards my goal,” said King.
