- Officers from departments from across Indiana and beyond were among those who paid their respects to Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz Monday, March 28, 2016, during a public visitation at Northwestern High School in Kokomo, Indiana. Koontz was killed in the line of duty on March 20.
A funeral and procession for Carl Koontz, the Indiana sheriff’s deputy who was killed in the line of duty on March 20, is taking place now.
