The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle accident early this morning on Mt. Olive Road that claimed the life of a Morris man.

The North Jefferson News has confirmed the driver and only occupant of the vehicle was Jefferson County School Board Member and Gardendale business owner Dean Taylor.

The family asks for privacy as they grieve their sudden loss.
