Jennifer Leigh Nichols and James “Jay” Blake Haddock were united in marriage October 30, 2015, at The Cabin at the Lodge in Hayden, with Nick Phillips officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Danny and Teresa Nichols of Hanceville, granddaughter of Gail Goodwin and the late Bobby G. Goodwin, Lorene Nichols and the late Hurchel Nicholas, all of Hanceville.
Jennifer is a 2009 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is employed as a disability specialist with Disability Determination in Birmingham.
The groom is the son of David and Terry Haddock of Florence, grandson of Carl Bryan Trotter of Gardendale and the late Barbara Trotter, the late John Henry Haddock and the late Mary Haddock of Florence.
Jay is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute of Bessemer and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is presently employed with Southland Tube in Birmingham.
The bride wore a mermaid-style wedding dress by Meri Lee, made of poetic lace in ivory over a layer of champagne-shaded silk. The sleeveless bodice featured a V-neckline and a sheer deep V-back design. The skirt extended into a train to complete the style.
Corey Jennings of Hanceville served as matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Toni Donaldson of Fultondale.
Best man was Jeremy Barrier of Florence. Groomsman was Dillon Donaldson of Fultondale.
The reception was held at The Cabin at the Lodge and catered by Full Moon Barbecue in Fultondale.
Creative Cakes of Cullman designed the wedding cake.
Wedding photographer was Ashley Tankersley.
Flowers were provided by Burns Florist of Hanceville.
Following a wedding trip to Savannah, Georgia, the couple resides in Mt. Olive, Alabama.
