West Point’s 6-3-1 region record could be enough to put the program in the postseason depending on how the region standings shake out. The Warriors and Southside-Gadsden, who tied in their matchup, are vying for the region’s fourth seed.
Whichever team eventually earns the spot will advance to one of two regional tournaments. The tourney for the North’s four schools will be Jan. 21-22 at Leland Lanes in Tuscaloosa.
The state tournament will be Jan. 28-29 at Oak Mountain Lanes in Pelham.
This is bowling’s first year as a championship sport in the state since the Alabama High School Athletic Association discontinued girls bowling after a short stint in the 1970s.
