Police and fire units swept through Walmart Supercenter in Cullman after a call came into police dispatch of a stabbing and hostage situation. The call proved to be false.

A three-car accident on Alabama Highway 157 around 5:20 p.m. has slowed traffic in Cullman.

Cullman Police Department officers were at scene and called an ambulance to the scene for one driver to be examined because of neck pain, Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said.

The cause of the accident, which occurred in front of Wendy’s, is under investigation.
