Faye Smith, 87, of Addison entered into rest Monday, October 26, 2015, in Birmingham. She was born September 30, 1928, in Springville, Alabama. She was a lifelong member of Addison Church of God, where she also taught Sunday School. Faye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.  

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, at Addison Church of God, with services at 2 p.m. Pastor Rodney Ridgeway will officiate. Burial will follow in Addison Church of God Cemetery.

Faye is survived by her sons, Glenn (Patricia) Wilkins and Ronnie (Diane) Wilkins; daughters, Linda Wilkins (Bobby) Hacker and Deborah (Paul) Newman; brother, Vernon Mashburn. She was known as “Grandmother” to eight grandchildren, Evonda Jarrett, Tommy Wilkins, Kerrie Tubb, Robyn Hand, Dustin Wilkins, Haley Wilkins, Jennie Hamilton and Joe Hacker; nine great-grandchildren, Noel O’Brien, Dalton Jarrett, Devin Wilkins, Holli White, Dillon Jarrett, Derrick Wilkins, Jace Chambless, Lane Tubb, Sofi Wilkins; and four great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Howard Wilkins; her second husband, C.A. Smith; son, Jerry Wilkins; parents, John Wesley and Ethel Mae White Mashburn; brothers, Grover Mashburn and James Mashburn; sister, Delores Warren; and great-grandson, Erik Wilkins.
