The Warrior City Council approved a resolution to allow the Alabama Department of Transportation to begin repaving the section of U.S. 31 from the river bridge to the Blount County line.

ALDOT will be repaving and doing ditch work along the road, although a start date has not been set.

The council also heard that the first few days of full time fire department and ambulance operation had been successful but busy.

The council also promoted Annie Dasis from part-time dispatcher to a full-time position.
