- Kentucky woman dies after reportedly jumping from 18-wheeler Friday
A 32-year-old Kentucky woman has died today after reportedly jumping from an 18-wheeler traveling Interstate 65 Friday evening.
Kamica Winstead Boyd died this morning at UAB Medical Center from injuries she suffered after jumping from the vehicle near the Guy Hunt rest stop as it headed southbound, according to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators interviewed Boyd’s husband, whose name is not being released, at the scene, and they don’t believe any foul play was involved in her death.
Boyd and her husband were apparently having an argument right before she jumped out of the truck. Authorities said evidence at the scene matches the narrative her husband provided investigators.
No arrest is expected at this time, however the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate the incident which backed up I-65 near the Dodge City exit for several hours.
According a website the couple created for their wedding, the two were married in Louisville on August 21.
