West Point kicked off the 2015 campaign in style on Thursday, earning a straight-set victory (25-16, 25-23) at county-rival Vinemont.

Cassie Mariano paced the Warriors with nine kills, a dig and an assist. Bailee Yearwood pitched in 10 assists and a kill, while Lillie Burdette added six assists, two aces and a kill.

Other West Point contributors were Olivia Vandenberg, four kills and two aces; Carley Colburn, three aces and a dig; Jeri Beasley, three kills; Brooke Griffin, two aces and a kill; Meredith Ann Calvert, two kills; and Sarah Wright, an ace and an assist.

Stats for Vinemont were unknown.
