Lawmen find large stash of crystal meth, weapons in weekend Mt. Olive raid

Warrior Police Department executed a search warrant in the 4900 block of Mt. Olive Road on Saturday, resulting in the seizure of approximately $30,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, as well as other drugs, stolen property and guns.
According to Andrew Hill, of Warrior Police Department’s narcotics division, the department received information that meth being found in Jefferson and Blount counties was coming from the Mt. Olive location known as “The Compound,” due to its role as an old biker compound.
Warrior Police, assisted by Jefferson County’s SWAT team, raided multiple buildings at the location simultaneously.
The raid resulted in the seizure of more than 300 grams of high-grade crystal meth, called “ice,” as well as numerous long guns, pistols, a flare gun, marijuana and a stolen vehicle that was recovered.
Police arrested the residents of the compound, John Dale Riley, 42, and Crystal Lynn Gladson, 25. They are both charged with trafficking meth, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 3-year-old child at the location was released into the custody of its grandmother, who was also at the location.
At the time this report was posted, the duo was awaiting transport to the Jefferson County Jail. Bond information was not available.
