Gardendale man accused of sexually abusing minors while he lived in Pinson; released on bond

- Larry Eugene Stell, 52, was arrested on six counts related to complaints that he sexually assaulted two girls when he lived in Pinson. He recently moved to Gardendale. As of Thursday, Stell had been released from jail on $150,000 bond.
A man who recently moved from Pinson to Gardendale has been arrested on several charges related to sexual abuse of children.
Larry Eugene Stell, 52, was arrested Tuesday on six counts related to complaints that he sexually assaulted two girls when he lived in Pinson.
The incidents were originally reported to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in February, and Stell was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury in June.
The official charges are one count of attempted first-degree sodomy, one count of sexual torture, two counts of sex abuse of a child under the age of 16 and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. The charges are related to two girls.
According to jail records as of Thursday morning, Stell was released from the Jefferson County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
