Manhunt continues near Trafford for escaped work-release inmate

- Kevin Campbell escaped from a work-release program in Troy last week, and has been the subject of a manhunt in the Trafford area since Saturday.
Authorities continue to search an area near Trafford for an inmate who escaped from a work-release detail on Aug. 3 in Troy.
Kevin Campbell, 38, was reportedly seen in the woods near Trafford on Saturday. Authorities said Campbell had family in the area.
Campbell is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. According to prison records, Campbell is 5-foot-8 and weighs approximately 178 pounds.
Campbell was sentenced in 1999 for a charge of second-degree burglary.
Anyone with information on Campbell’s location is asked to call local police or the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
