During the arrest, Fasha Jade Deans, 26, fled the scene in her vehicle, a white Cadillac CTS. CNET agents pursued her, with help from the Cullman Police Department and Cullman County Sheriff deputies, according to a prepared statement from Sheriff Matt Gentry.
Deans reportedly stopped just outside of Hartselle when her vehicle struck a road sign.
After a short foot chase, officers caught and arrested Dean on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd, two counts of attempting to elude, reckless endangerment and certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol.
Other charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
The arrest led to the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, a 12-gauge shotgun and a 380 pistol, according to Gentry.
“I am proud our law enforcement officers were able to arrest the two individuals and do it safely,” said Gentry in a statement. “This is yet another example of our tireless effort to pursue drug offenders that are hurting our community.”
