Wichita Falls, TX — A 58-year-old man, Jeffrey Peyton, and his 39-year-old wife, Christina Peyton, were arrested Thursday for allegedly offering an undercover police agent $500 to kill their daughter’s boyfriend.

Officers from the Organized Crime Unit, Gang Task Force, and Crimes Against Persons Unit conducted an arrest operation in which police say the suspects paid an undercover officer $500 in cash to murder the boyfriend of their daughter in a dispute over money.

The couple was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by the WFPD SWAT Team for charges of criminal solicitation to commit capital murder.

According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, the intended victim was unharmed, and the case remains under investigation.
