Gardendale police are investigating the death of the Dora police chief, whose body was found in his Gardendale home Monday morning.
Chief John Duchock had headed up the Dora Police Department for almost four years, working part-time for the last year, according to information from the Daily Mountain Eagle in Jasper. He was also the fire marshal, a paramedic and a firefighter.
He lived on William O Lane in northwest Gardendale.
Gardendale Police Lt. Bryan Lynch said Duchock’s wife Jennifer called the police at just before 6:30 a.m. today when she found her husband unresponsive.
