- Timothy Rich, 75, went missing after he left the home of friends in the Pinson-Clay area on Sunday night, and did not return to his home in Pell City afterward. He was later found safe near the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, after he failed to stop at an entrance checkpoint at the NASA John C. Stennis Space Flight Center. Rich apparently drove from Pinson to Corinth, Miss., and then all the way through the state to the Stennis Center.
Authorities are trying to find a 75-year-old man who went missing after visiting friends near Pinson on Sunday night.
Timothy Eugene Rich was visiting in the 5200 block of Chestnut Lane, which is also close to Clay. He left that home at about 8:15 p.m. to return to his residence in Pell City, but he never made it back.
Investigators say that Rich’s credit card was used to pay for gasoline at a station in Corinth, Miss. just after 7 a.m. Monday.
Rich is white, 5-foot-7, 150 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who has information about Rich’s whereabouts should call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
