ASWA RANKINGS: Cold Springs softball debuts at No. 10 in 2A

Cold Springs is hitting its stride on the softball field, and it showed in the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s latest rankings released Wednesday night.
The Lady Eagles, who have six home runs in their last two games, made their 2015 debut at 10th in Class 2A. They’re 10-5-2 overall and 4-0 in area play.
Addison (14-10-1) dropped out of the 2A top 10 for the first time this spring, and 6A Cullman (15-8) fell one spot to eighth in 6A. Fairview (10-4) was again nominated in 5A.
Cullman (32-6) and Hanceville (18-6), the coverage area’s only two playoff teams, held firm to first and sixth in 6A and 3A, respectively.
