Obituary: Bobby Ray Peoples

Bobby Ray Peoples of Fultondale, was born on March 20, 1934 and went to his eternal home on March 10, 2015, at the age of 80. Bobby was born in Hamilton, to the late Mack and Lindia Peoples.
Peoples Barber Shop was the highlight of his life as he met so many friends along the way. Recently he semi-retired from the barbershop after 51 years and he is a long-time resident of Fultondale and served his community with generosity.
He is survived by Ann Brown who has been his soul mate; his children, Judy Peoples Bearden (Tim), Karon “Kay” Peoples Meacham, Kenny Peoples (Dana); sister, Genell Lay; 9 grandchildren, Tiffany Branham, Brooke Dawson, Amanda Caufield, Neal Zarzour, Barton Zarzour, Ashley Zarzour, Bradley Barley, Kendra Peoples and Cheyenne Peoples; 15 great grandchildren; many other family members and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Peoples; brothers, Rob, Oliver, Sam, Hansel, Johnny; sisters, Annie Mae, Mrytle, Ruby, Odell and Ernestine.
A funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, March 13 at 2 p.m. with a visitation to begin at 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Hamilton Memory Gardens in Hamilton, Sunday, March 15 at 3 p.m.
