- This year's Cullman County Baseball Tournament has been put on hold until April 13-15. It will still be at Fairview.
The latest attempt to start this year’s Cullman County Baseball Tournament was foiled by just enough rain late Sunday night and most of Monday.
With more inclement weather expected Tuesday and Wednesday, the next try to open tourney play will be Thursday at noon. Three games will follow at 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
Five games are slated for Friday, also starting at noon and spaced every two hours.
Saturday’s schedule will be determined late Friday or early Saturday.
No matter when the tournament is ultimately played, the order of games will remain the same. First-day matchups pit Vinemont against Fairview, Holly Pond against Cold Springs and Hanceville against West Point. Good Hope, which drew a first-round bye, will play the winner between Vinemont and host Fairview.
Hanceville is the defending champ.
