Update: Jefferson County, Blount County schools delayed until 10 a.m. Thursday morning

Due to extreme cold temperatures and possible icy roads on Thursday morning, both Jefferson and Blount county school systems will delay classes and bus service by two hours.
No breakfast will be served. JefCoEd school personnel are instructed to be at the school by 8 a.m.
It’s the second weather delay of the week for Jefferson County, while Blount County cancelled classes entirely on Tuesday.
