Jerry E. Smith, 81, passed away Feb 3, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar; mother, Mamie and sister Lib. He is survived by his wife Fay; son, Mike and a special friend Kim Giordano.

Jerry served active duty in the U.S. Army, and he retired from the City of Birmingham Engineering Department with 30 years of service. Jerry enjoyed being on the Gardendale Beautification Commission and his many racing buddies in AARP (Alabama Association of Racing Pioneers).

Special thanks Dr. John T. Eagan, Jr., for many years of incredible help. Daddy will be missed as a husband, father and special friend.

Services were held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel.
