Evan Aldredge made all the difference.

The junior went off for 27 points in St. Bernard’s 59-51 home win over Paint Rock Valley Thursday, a stark difference from the 24-point loss the Saints suffered to the Pirates — sans Aldredge — in early November.

Gavin Harris helped out with 12 points, and Dean Smith added nine. Other contributors were Christian Peterson, five points; Jacob Grey, four; and Luis Zatarain, one.

Without the junior in the lineup in early November, St. Bernard’s boys lost by 24 at Paint Rock Valley.
