Pinson Valley’s two point advantage after three quarters held up, as the Indians defeated Center Point on the road by a 53-51 scores, earning their first Class 6A Area 12 win of the season.

Donevan Waldrop scored 15 points to lead the Tribe. Cornell Hale had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Cordarius Reese added nine points.

Dedric Foreman scored 24 to pace the Eagles (9-9, 2-2 area). Darius Curry added 10.

Both teams move on to next week’s JefCoEd Large Schools Tournament at Minor. Pinson Valley (6-16, 1-3) is the eighth seed, and faces top-seeded Clay-Chalkville on Tuesday.
