Authorities are still looking for the suspect in an armed robbery at a Pinson drugstore — the second time in a little more than two months that the store has been hit.
A lone gunman held up the CVS Pharmacy in the 6600 block of Highway 75 at about 6:30 Monday evening.
A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said that the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. He then took a cash drawer and fled on foot into woods behind the store. A search for the robber came up empty later that night, and further efforts to find the suspect on Tuesday have come up empty-handed.
No one in the store was injured.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, a grey toboggan and blue pajama pants.
The Pinson CVS store was robbed on Oct. 29 by a suspect who was also charged with robbing another CVS location in Center Point eight days prior. That suspect, Tommy Leon Stewart, was caught on Nov. 12.
If you see the suspect, call the Sheriff’s Office at 325-5711, or call 911 in an emergency.
