The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting for the new office of James R. Smith Trucking Company at 240 County Road 222, Cullman 35055. This is a company started by a trucker for truckers in 1955. For the past 60 years, James R. Smith Trucking Company has come to set the standard in the trucking industry. They’ve remained a family-owned and operated business and strive to make their drivers and owner/operators feel like part of the family as well. The new office was designed with the drivers in mind, knowing that they are away from their families and home quite often, so there was extra thought given to the design to help make the drivers feel more “at home” even when they are in the office.
