IRONDALE — Joy Sadler had a double-double night, but it wasn’t enough as her Gardendale team fell at Shades Valley 54-36 in a Class 6A Area 11 girls basketball contest Friday night.

The junior center tallied 12 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks.

Camryn London led the Mounties (6-2, 2-0 area) with 15 points, and Katelyn Thomas added 10.

The Rockets (8-6, 0-2) host Hanceville on Monday night.
