MOODY — The good news for Hayden was that they won their first area game of the season in decisive fashion.
The bad news: They’ve lost guard Evin Bibb for the season with a torn ACL.
The Wildcats broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Blue Devils 20-9, and cruised the rest of the way.
Newcomer Kayla Jackson led all scorers with 15 points, Hannah Padgett chipped in 14 to go along with 9 rebounds, and Brook Meadows had 10 points.
Hayden (6-2, 1-0 area) travels to Mortimer Jordan on Tuesday night.
