GOOD HOPE — The Lady Raiders whipped up the perfect remedy for last week’s loss to Sulligent Tuesday night — a 64-59 overtime victory over county-rival West Point.
Kaylee Maddox and Celest Whisenant provided their usual 1-2 punch for Good Hope with 23 and 17 points, respectively. Sadie Abbott gave the Raiders, who improved to 4-4, a welcomed third scoring option with 14 points. Jessica King notched four points, and Josie McDonald and Kate Kent each had three.
“It was a big win for us,” coach Michael Oldacre said.
Mallory Walker scored a game-high 27 points for the Warriors.
