- Kenneth Carlton, left, and Carledrial Davis, both 24 and from Dora, were arrested Monday night on charges of stealing a gun from a pawn shop in Gardendale.
Two men who were wanted for a theft at a Gardendale pawn shop have been arrested in Dora.
According to a report by The Daily Mountain Eagle in Jasper, Kenneth Lynn Carlton and Caledrial Andrekus Davis, both 24, were arrested by police there, along with the street crimes unit of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The two men were arrested Monday night at a home on Earley Road in Dora.
Both men were on the local Crimestoppers Most Wanted list, and that’s how Dora Police Chief John Duchock found out about them. His department regularly searches through outstanding felony warrants to see if anyone in their city is being sought.
A third suspect in the case, Billy Michael Stanford, 41, turned himself in to authorities last week. He is free on bond. All three suspects are from Dora.
According to Gardendale Police, the three men stole a Colt 45 handgun when Stanford and Carlton distracted a clerk, while Davis swiped the gun from behind a display counter.
Carlton also had six outstanding misdemeanor warrants, and Davis had a warrant for failure to appear in court.
