It’s Halloween, so “boo” to you, too…
Weather: A bit frigid. There will be a slight chance of morning and midday showers — 20 percent chance, to be exact — before ending this afternoon and giving way to breezy conditions. Highs will be in the middle 60s. Halloween night will be cold and windy, with lows barely above freezing. Some areas may see a light freeze, but frost won’t be an issue because of winds around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Saturday will be chilly with highs only in the lower 50s, and brisk winds. Saturday night will have areas of frost, and the first below-freezing temperatures of the season with lows in the upper 20s. Sunny and clear on Sunday with highs near 60 and lows in the middle 30s.

Brian Cody Bigbee scaled the fence, then hopped a freight train on a nearby railroad line. He was thought to be headed into Fultondale or Tarrant, but authorities later realized his rail journey was brief. Adamsville’s police chief said Bigbee did not pose a threat, and had admitted a past history with drugs.
