Football: Fultondale 30, Oak Grove 26

Jared Stewart ran for three touchdowns and grabbed three interceptions, but it was a 1-yard plunge by Brandon Lewis with 4:10 left in the game that gave Fultondale a 30-26 comeback win over Oak Grove in the regular season finale Thursday.
Stewart scored on a 51-yard run a little over four minutes into the game, then scampered 53 yards for another touchdown with 7:41 left in the first half.
But Austin Lawrence scored two Tiger touchdowns in the second half, once on a 1-yard run and then on a 6-yarder that gave Oak Grove the lead with 9:57 left in the game.
Stewart put the Wildcats back in front about a minute later on an 11-yard scoring run, but Taylor Goodson answered for the Tigers on a 39-yard touchdown dash, putting his team ahead again with 5:32 left to play.
Oak Grove got on the board with a 9-yard touchdown run by Teandrea Watson with just 63 seconds left before halftime.
Fultondale kicker Enrique Aguilar hit his longest field goal of the season, a 42-yard kick with five seconds before intermission.
Lewis finished with 158 yards on 20 carries. Stewart had 122 yards on eight rushes on offense, to go with eight tackles and the three picks on defense.
Jason Clark led the Wildcat defense with 16 tackles, and Derrick Pollard was close behind with 15.
Brandon Hester ran for 179 yards on 14 carries for Oak Grove (3-7). Austin Lawrence completed four passes in 15 attempts for the Tigers, but also threw four interceptions. Watson caught three of the passes for 43 yards.
Fultondale (6-4) opens playoff action on the road next week, against either Pike County, Daleville or Slocomb.
