The last of a series of public meetings to be held by the Jefferson County Schools is scheduled for tonight at Pinson Valley High School.

The meetings have been held by the system as it seeks to formulate a new strategic plan for the next few years. A similar meeting was held Monday night at North Jefferson Middle School.

The meeting will be run by Burke Enterprises, an outside consulting firm hired by JefCoEd to solicit input from stakeholders in the system such as parents, teachers and public officials, then put that information into a new plan. The firm has done similar plans for several systems in the state.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6 p.m., and is scheduled to end at 8. Unlike its previous meetings, Spanish-language interpreters will be available at this meeting.
