Virginia Eloise Cox, 82 of Gardendale, departed this earth on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was a long time member of Pineywood Baptist Church. Virginia was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Albert “Bill” Cox; a son, James Albert Cox; parents, Horrance Conville Sizemore and Ella Louise Limbaugh Sizemore; brothers, H.C., Bill, Calvin, B.A., and Leo.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Glass (Ken) and Coleen Ousley (Rusty); a son, Bruce Cox (Marcy); eight grandchildren, Dawn Glass, Leslie Cooper, Phillip Standridge, Joey Ousley, Nicole Wilson, Cristy Mosley, Jessica Carlisle and Adriane Cox; and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Coleman and brother, Perry “Gene” Sizemore.  

A visitation was heldat Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with chapel funeral services on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Harold Rhoades will officiate.
