Funeral services for Ernest Carl Graveman, 56, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel, Father Mike Oswell officiating, with interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ernest was born October 21, 1957, in Cullman to John and Helen Schaffers Graveman. He passed away Sunday, September 21, at Huntsville Hospital. He was the owner of Brickyard Meat Processing Inc. At a young age, Ernest served in U.S. Army traveling the world. While stationed at Fort Monmouth he met Carol Jones, who became the love of his life. The rest of his life he spent doing what he loved, working with his hands, loving his family, and making new friends wherever he went.
His parents and one sister, Helena precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Carol Ann Jones Graveman; a daughter, Tamara (Rhody) Robinson; two sons, Paul Graveman and Nathan (Lauren) Graveman; his first granddaughter (on the way), Lydia Claire Robinson; three sisters, Pat, Theresa and Rita; four brothers, Frank, Louis, Raymond and Jerry; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. with Father Patrick Egan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St, Vincent de Paul food bank.
