Natalie Johnsey had 22 kills and four blocks, as Mortimer Jordan defeated Moody 25-20, 17-25, 25-22, 25-23 in a volleyball tri-match Tuesday. 

Jordan easily handled Helena 25-5, 25-20 in the opening match.

Against Moody, Taylor Bland had 26 assists and four aces, and Reagan Welch tallied 12 kills and 11 digs to go with four aces.

The win puts Jordan at 5-1 for the season and 2-0 in the area. Moody falls to 5-3 overall.

Against Helena, Melinda Hosch and Dylan Reece had five kills each. Bland dished out 11 assists, Johnsey served seven aces (including four in a row), and Cheyenne Hill had nine digs.

Jordan hosts Gardendale on Thursday afternoon.
