The Redskins opened the scoring with four runs in the second inning, keyed by an RBI double from Jaclyn Latta. The Hornets allowed two runs to score when Baylee Gibbs reached on an error, then another error on the same play let two runners cross the plate.

Sekena Bingston’s base-hit grounder in the third scored another run for Oneonta.

Glasscox’s two-run blast came in the fourth inning, which also brought home Jamie ail Hudson, who had a lead-off hit.

Bailey McCay led off the fifth inning with a triple, but could not advance when Anna Hood followed with a line-drive hit to shortstop. McCay was thrown out on a sacrifice fly by Hudson. Glasscox followed that with a hit the scored Hood.

Isabella Dickie got the complete-game win in the circle, striking out four Hornets. Macy Wilks took the loss with 5-1/3 innings’ work, allowing nine hits and two earned runs.

Locust Fork (7-3, 1-1 area) is off until Monday, when they travel to J.B.Pennington. Oneonta is at Pinson Valley on Thursday; they come to Locust Fork next Tuesday for a rematch.
